Update on School Closures
On Friday, September 16, 2016 an update on the school closure process will be posted on the Let’s Talk SD38 website and will include the list of schools that are recommended for closure. The report containing these recommendations will be presented to the Board of Education on Monday, September 19th, 2016 and Trustees will make the final decision on closures at the October 17th, 2016 regular school board meeting.
The Board of Education will schedule special public meetings for each of the schools that are recommended for closure. These meetings will be held at the school site so as to ensure that each individual school community can access the trustees and school district staff to ask questions and share further input about the proposed closure.
These meeting dates will be communicated through your schools and on the Let’s Talk SD38 website.
